FootPrints and Keepsakes

"a quiet tribute to the paws that touched your life"

No Session Fee

I want to share my own experience. Monty was a super smart and happy Shepherd/Collie who loved his toys and learning new tricks. He was full of joy and heart - our bright, silly boy. Life was busy then. I was a single mom of two, I was working full time as well as going to night school, getting ready to remarry and just doing all the things. And somehow, before I could catch my breath, Monty's puppy days slipped into middle age dog days and then into elderly dog days. At 15, his time with us wasn't nearly long enough. (Although he's been gone for years, it still makes me weep typing this - your heart will not let you forget.)

When we said goodbye, I slept with his favourite toy in my bed for over a month. It was the only tangible piece of him I could hold.

Back then, I wasn't the photographer I am now. I didn't have the skills or the knowledge to create the images I now make for other dog parents. I have one photo of him that I treasure deeply, but it's not the full story of who he was. So, I created a tribute - one final portrait, not of Monty, but for him. His favourite toy. His spirit. His joy.

If you're in this same place - if all you have left are the toys, the leash, and the collar - I would be honoured to create a memory session for you, too.

Something quiet, beautiful, and deeply personal. Because their love doesn't leave when they do.
